The Police found five locally made explosive devices at the Sri Jayewardenepura University premises, Police Spokesman SP Ajith Rohana told the Daily News yesterday.

He said that these explosive devices were recovered yesterday around 11.30 am from the New Arts Centre which is being repaired.

He said that the police entered the university premises following information from workers of the building. The explosive devices, each about three inches in length, had been hidden in two bags on the ceiling of the building. He said that no one has been arrested so far. Mirihana Police is investigating.
