Rs 200 m for 14 fisheries projects

The Economic Development Ministry has allocated Rs 200 million to
implement 14 projects to develop the fisheries industry under the Divi
Neguma programme, ministry sources said.
The projects will be implemented throughout the country with the
objective of uplifting the fisheries community.
They aim at developing aquaculture, post harvest technology and
Maldive fish production.
The Economic Development Ministry will establish 2.1 million domestic
economic units in the second phase of the Divi Neguma programme which
was launched October 27, the sources said. |
