Buddhism for youths

The Buddhist Cultural Centre has launched a number of programmes to introduce Buddhism to youth, Buddhist Cultural Centre Director Kirama Wimalajothi Thera said. The Buddhist Cultural Centre has targeted to inculcate pure Buddhism in the youth throughout the country by 2012 Vesak full moon poya day, the Thera said.

The centre has implemented a number of programmes targeting the youth. Buddhist counselling for the people is one such programme. Meditation classes in English and Sinhala media had started.

The centre has also launched a programme to teach Ayurvedic medicine with Indigenous medicine, he said.
