Facelift for Dambana roads

The Ports and Highways Ministry will develop the road network in
Dambana without obstructing the traditional lifestyles of indigenous
people.
Nine roads in the area will be reconstructed on a request by Veddha
chieftain Wanniyaleththo.
A proper drainage system will also be constructed for the indigenous
people living in Dambana, Ports and Highways Deputy Minister Nirmala
Kothalawela said.
A stretch of 30km of road will be developed under this programme.
The entire road network, neglected for decades without maintenance
and rehabilitation, will get a face lift under this programme. |
