Rajans in hockey finals

Dharmaraja College, Kandy entered the finals of the Kandy District schools boys under-15 hockey tournament when they beat Menikdiwela Central College 5-2 in the semi-finals of the tournament organised by the Kandy District Schools Hockey Association and played at the University Grounds, Peradeniya. At half time Rajans led 3-1.

Central Half Rameel Dharmaratne was in brilliant form with the stick scoring four goals and the other goal was scored by left-extreme Pasan Ranaweera.

St Sylvester's College also did well to enter the finals defeating Vidyartha College 1-0 during extra time. The scores at the end of regulation time stood scoreless. Rajans are the defending champions of this tournament having won it in 2009 and 2010.
