Hilton Colombo Bavarian fiesta

The biggest and the grandest German festival the Oktoberfest is being celebrated at the Hilton Colombo for the 18 consecutive year at the Sports Centre.

Oktoberfest is where large crowds gather to enjoy the festive atmosphere with lots of fun, food and beverage! The Hilton Colombo was filled with people from will be organizing the Oktoberfest for the 18th consecutive year which has always been a much looked forward to event in the line up of promotions.

There are crowds who celebrate this festival in Munich and fly over to Colombo to celebrate this fun event once again at the Hilton Colombo!

Three Coins erected an exclusive marquee for this event, which can accommodate up to 500 people. Authentic ingredients are used for German brews by Three Coins and traditional German cuisine using authentic ingredients can also be savoured like Bratwurst sausages, large garlic sausages, pork knuckles along with traditional German salads prepared by Guest Chef Stefan from Germany and of course a variety of German desserts.

“The traditional authentic, Bavarian recipes used for this event have been provided by the Hilton’s sister hotel in Munich,” said the hotel’s Marketing Communications Manager.

“The Bavarian band was also flown down in from Germany courtesy Qatar Airways.

People took part in games such as the power hammer, wrestling, dancing on tables and more.
