SEC investor day in Matara

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) in association with the Matara Branch of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) is conducting an Investor Day on November 5 at Lalitha Hotel, Paburana, Matara from 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.

The previous road show which was held in Colombo in association with all the market participants and Listed Companies was a success with the participation of over 15,000 existing and potential investors and the SEC is confident that the Investor Day in Matara too will draw a significant crowd.

The CSE, stock brokers, and Unit Trust Management companies will be participating at the Investor Day and will assist potential investors to open accounts to transact in shares as well as provide guidance on investing in the capital market.

The Investor Day will also feature prominent professionals from the securities industry, who will address the gathering on a wide spectrum of topics ranging from investing in the stock market, unit trusts and the debt market. The lectures will be conducted in an easy to understand manner to enable first time investors to derive the full benefit of the Investor Day.
