"Foot items sans chemicals has assumed importance since a large
number of persons have become patients as a result of the wrong food
habits," said Indigenous Medicine Minister Salinda Dissanayake.

various diseases. Sri Lanka wants strong generation for the development
of the country and they should have good physical and mental health', he
added.
The minister was addressing a workshop for government servants
organized by the Indigenous Medicine Ministry to make aware about the
importance of the traditional foods and the concepts of indigenous
medical people to create a healthy generation.
This workshop was held at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute
yesterday under the patronage of the minister Salinda Dissanayake
organized with the aim of creating a healthy generation.
According to the Minister at present there is myth being spread, that
farmers will fail to have a good harvest by using carbonic fertilizer.
But this is a false notion and currently the government had trained
around 30,000 farmers to cultivate paddy while using carbonic
fertilizer.
'Rice without chemicals will help us live a healthy life,he said.
"Our country is a developing country and all of us should make their
contribution to the development programme.
Because of that we should follow correct life styles and also
