AIDEX 2011 Sports festival for Jaipur limb users on Oct 30

The Colombo Friend in Need Society celebrates its 180th year of charity work this year and the 21st Annual Sports Festival.

This year it will be held at Pedris Park, Havelock Road, Colombo 5, on Sunday October 30.

Events commence at 9 am with the ceremonial opening by the dignitaries Bernard Savage, Ambassador/Head of Delegation, European Union and Dilhan Fernando and Malik Fernando of the MJF Group. 57 events, track and field and bicycle races are scheduled.

Male, female and children and members of the Forces will take part. Events are mainly sponsored by Dilmah Tea, European Union, Fonterra Brands Lanka (Pvt) Ltd., M/s. Perera & Sons, Access Group, Elephant House, Cargills (Ceylon) Ltd. and Hirdaramani Group.

Volunteers from Tallman Tours, Girl Guides of Musaeus College and Medical Students and several others will help.
