No past government has strived so hard as the present government to

efforts have brought a wide awakening in the agriculture sector with an
increase in youths’ contribution towards it, said Prime Minister D.M.
Jayaratne.
The Prime Minister was addressing a Vap Magul ceremony organized by
the Central Provincial Agriculture Department in Doluwa, Gampola,
yesterday. The ceremony was held at the Ganegoda paddy field in Doluwa,

“This government assists and guides the agriculture field development
in different ways. The annual rice production also increased compared

all communities as a result of the President’s Mahinda Chinthana
policies.
