One of the leading cement manufacturers Bharathi Cement will
introduce their product line to the Sri Lankan market from tomorrow.
Bharathi Cement’s local agent Metsteel (Pvt) Ltd Managing Director S.
Kanakaraja told to the Daily News Business that 50 containers of
Bharathi Cement have already been brought into the country and cement
will be available in the Sri Lankan market from tomorrow at competitive
prices.
He said that Sri Lanka is rapidly developing after the war and there
will be a huge demand for construction material. Cement is the most
widely used construction material worldwide.
“We will be able to provide the cement without any break down in
supply and with the best quality”, he said. Bharathi Cement uses German
technology and tamper-proof packing.
“Quality, delivery and service are the most important factors in
cement manufacturing and these factors are more important than the
price,” he said.
“We are more concerned about the packaging system and high strength
polypropylene bags are used to pack cement. No damage can occur using
it,” he said.
The group continues expanding under President Jacques Merceron-Vicat
and is present in 11 countries, France, US, Turkey, Senegal,
Switzerland, Egypt, Italy, Mali, Kazakhstan, Maureitania and India. Sri
Lanka is their 12th market.
