The 38th annual Royal - Thomian Regatta and the 42nd Boat Race will be held at the Colombo Rowing Club today from 1.00 p.m. Last year the Royalists won the overall regatta, however the Thomians won the prestigious Boat Race and won the Crossed Oars Trophy for the third consecutive year.

The regatta is expected to be a very closely fought battle. The event will be simulcast on a giant screen with live commentaries and a live streaming video web cast while the races are in progress. S. Thomas’ College is captained by Shelan de Livera and are coached by veteran Ajith Goonewardena assisted by S. Kannangara.

Royal College is captained by experienced Chirath Karunanayke and are coached by Asiri Abhayaratne assistant H.Hassan.
