Quetta Association moots training programmes

Quetta Association Chief Patron former Army Commander General (Retd)
Rohan de S Daluwatte said that discussions are going on with Pakistan
Defence Adviser Colonel Parvez Butt to accommodate mutually beneficial
training programmes between the Staff Colleges of both countries.
He was addressing the first formal convention of Quetta Association
held in Colombo yesterday. The Association comprises 41 graduate
officers of the Command and Staff College Quetta, Pakistan. It is a non
governmental, non political and non profitable organization which
provides a platform of interaction among the members.
The Chief Patron also observed that the association would directly
benefit both countries. It was also decided to formulate a delegation of
serving and retired members of the Association to visit Command and
Staff College Quetta soon. Major General A M Perera was appointed as the
chairman of the Association.
Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan Amna Baloch participated in the
event as the Co patron. Pakistan Defence Adviser Colonel Parvez Butt and
many retired and serving senior military personnel also attended the
meeting. |
