Day out with Angelo Matthews
Elephant House Ice Cream living up to its brand promise 'Good Times,
Good Friends' gave all their consumers an opportunity to spend an entire
day with their favourite cricketing sensation Angelo Matthews recently
to celebrate their newest flavour 'Butter Crunch Ice Cream'.
The ice cream is a thick creamy concoction rippled with tasty rich
caramel and sugar coated roasted cashew nuts that give crunchy full of
flavour delight with every bite. The fans also had the chance of touring
Kandy on an Air Taxi, enjoying a scrumptious lunch and playing a game of
friendly cricket with Angelo Matthews.
Thriller at Blue Teens
No introduction needs to be made on Halloween and the fun mixed
thrills it brings to both young and old alike, transforming the
tradition of trick-or-treating and zombie gaits into an enjoyable
cherished event celebrated each year.
Following the tremendous success of last year's Halloween party,
'Thriller at Blue 2010', which attracted a total turnover of more than
600 attendees, this year's ''Thriller at Blue Teen' will give you the
best of both worlds in terms of superior level entertainment suitable
for teens mixed with excitement, competitions, the spooks and overall
great value for money. The Blue Elephant, Hilton Colombo will be the
haunted grounds on October 30 where the haunting begins at 3 pm and
winds down at 9 pm, promising thrills screams and an evening of clean
fun for teens attending.
The event will be hosted strictly as a private function with tickets
pre-sold as well as a minimum number made available at the entrance.
Entertainment will be based on DJ music coupled with other acts, and
costume competitions, whilst food and beverages will be on presentation
by selected vendors.
Bavarian blast at Ceylon Continental Hotel
 The Ceylon Continental Hotel celebrates true German spirit from
October 20 (today) till the 23 from 7 pm to 11 pm with an exciting and
tantalizing Bavarian food promotion.
This is the chance to enjoy the appetizing aroma of Bavarian cuisine,
food and culture right here in Colombo. The promotion will be held at
the Heist Bar.
Ceylon Continental's Bavarian Blast will treat one to a variety of
traditional, hearty and rustic Bavarian food from delectable German
sausages such as Bratwurst, Nuernberger Sausage and Munich Wesisswurst
to more Bavarian delicacies; the Pickled Pork Knuckle, Pork Schnitzel
and Liver Wurst. All of which can be washed down with a couple of iced
cold German beverage.
