October is the month for children. In order to celebrate Children's'
Day, the Hilton Colombo team organized a familiarization tour for 140
children from Puwakdeniya Kanishta Vidyalaya, Kegalle.
It was their first visit to a five star hotel. They were welcomed by
the management, where they were directed to Curry Leaf restaurant for
refreshments. "Hari Rasai Aunty" commented a little boy who was silently
enjoying the snack!
The children were divided into five groups where each group was
escorted by two Hilton team members to show the operational and guest
related services of the hotel.
The children were excited and amazed to see kitchens with huge
equipment, laundry with massive washing machines and Hilton guest rooms
with both ocean and harbour views. "This place is really beautiful," the
children shouted in joy.

"We are grateful to the Hilton Management and the team for sparing
their time to organize this familiarization tour. It was indeed a new
experience to these children who rarely visit Colombo," Head Teacher of
the Group N A K W Nishshanka said. |
