Navy Commander congratulates Beach Games medal winning sailors

The Sri Lanka Navy sportsmen and women who won medals at the recently concluded South Asian Beach Games were congratulated by the Navy Commander Vice Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake at the Naval Headquarters. He also thanked the medalists for bringing glory to mother Lanka and making the Navy proud with their excellent performances. Each gold medalist was presented with a cash award of Rs.25,000 while silver and bronze medalists were given Rs. 20,000 and Rs.15,000 respectively.

Netball: A.M.A.S. Bandara (gold)

Volleyball: B.D.W. Rathnapala, M.J.M. Perera (gold), P.G.S. Gunasinghe (silver)

Hand ball: S.P.P.G. Wimalasekara, W.A.P. de Silva (bronze)
