CCC inks MOU with Nepal

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) with a view to build a dependable, pragmatic and advantageous relationship and to establish friendly and cordial relations between Sri Lanka and Nepal, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Morang Merchants' Association, Biratnagar, Nepal on October 17.

The MOU was signed between the two organizations to further increase co-operation among the members of the two organizations.

Both institutions agreed that it is imperative to maximise dissemination of information that could lead to further increase in bilateral trade between Sri Lanka and Nepal.

In addition, it was agreed to promote joint ventures, initiate partnerships, provide technical expertise, introduce licensing possibilities and arrange visits of businessmen in co-operation with The Boards of Investments of both countries and the respective diplomatic entities, whenever possible.

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has already signed 84 such co-operation agreements with leading Chambers of Commerce and Trade Promotion Organisations for the benefit of its members to-date.
