Sampath Bank rewards grade five scholarship winners
In keeping with Sampath Bank's commitment in caring for students and
their wellbeing, five students who obtained highest marks at the grade
five scholarship examination this year were awarded cash prizes and
stationary items at the Sampath Center recently.

Three students had topped the list with 195 marks and the other two
had obtained 194 - one mark less. Of the five lucky students Mahammadu
Naleem Zaky Ahamed (Kekirawa Muslim Maha Vidyalaya), Nethmi Ranaweera (Dodangoda
Miriswatta Maha Vidyalaya) and Oshadi Rashiprabha of (Kalutara Balika
Maha Vidyalaya) had got 195 marks while the other two - Parameshwaran
Shethuragavan (Neththaliyaru Tamil Vidyalayam- Visuvamadu West) and
Ishan Lakshitha Sathsara Sumanapala (Medagama Maha Vidyalaya) had
obtained 194 marks.
In addition, top five winners of each district will also get cash
prizes. They will be notified to collect the cash from the nearest
branches of Sampath Bank. Incidentally, the prize will be doubled for
those who have 'Sampath Pubudu' and 'Sampath Sapiri' accounts.
A series of seminars was organized early this year by the Bank for
the benefit of grade five students where they had an opportunity of
learning methods of managing time in writing answers and also the way to
answer difficult questions. The most likely questions were also
discussed. Account holders of 'Sampath Pubudu' and 'Sampath Sapiri'
children's accounts as well as non-account holders could participate at
the seminars.
This was the second successive year that these seminars were held.
According to the feedback by students, they found them most useful.
Sampath Bank will continue the CSR initiative as an annual feature to
keep its momentum and hope to add more benefits as the years go by.
The seminars are only one of many valued added features of the 'Sampath
Pubudu' and 'Sampath Sapiri' children's accounts. While Pubudu account
holders are eligible for a range of gifts, Sapiri accounts offer higher
interest. Account holders of both are entitled to overseas trips as well
as free healthcare and personal insurance covers depending on the amount
in their accounts.

Triumph rewards dealers with gold
This year Triumph rewarded the dealers who achieved their targets
within the given time period with a 22 carat gold anklet. This promotion
was carried out for two consecutive years and Triumph intends to
continue this endeavour, which in turn will increase the sales and
profits of the company as a whole.

Dialog customers now can stop at over 350 Singer Sri Lanka outlets,
one of the Island's largest retailers in home durables to pay mobile,
fixed telephone, broadband and DTV (Dialog Television) bill payments
giving subscribers a wider reach to settle their dues.
All payments made will be updated online at real time when
subscribers make bill payments. Singer Sri Lanka with a 134 year history
is the largest retailer for home appliances, consumer electronics and
furniture.
The partnership will give Dialog customers additional 350 touch
points to pay bills which includes 161 'Singer Plus' retail stores, 117
small satellite shops, 13 'Singer Mega' stores and other retail outlets.
"We are pleased to extend our partnership with Dialog Axiata," Singer
Sri Lanka Finance Director Priyath Salgado said. "Singer's 350 plus and
growing branch network would give Dialog customers the added convenience
to settle bills on the go saving time and money," he said.
Dialog Axiata, with over 2,000 2G and 1,200 3G base stations is Sri
Lanka's largest mobile service provider with over seven million
subscribers.
"Singer's wide branch network will add value and convenience to
