Heroin dealers nabbed

Two heroin dealers were taken into custody with 270 packets of heroin at Ibbagamuwa. Kurunegala police sources said the suspects were residents of Ibbagamuwa.

New pressure monitor invented

A new pressure monitor has been invented by G Marshal, a technician attached to the medical engineering section of the Kilinochchi district hospital, a Health Ministry spokesman said.

According to the spokesman, the new pressure monitor can be used easily to monitor blood pressure in patients. It is operated by electricity. A mouse (of an ordinary computer) is attached to the new machine.

OBU family mass
