Undergrads to participate in BLISSPOINT in India
Six members each from the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka and
the Sabaragamuwa University will be travelling to India to participate
in BLISSPOINT 2011, from October 13 to 16. This is an annual Economics
students' summit that is organized by the Economics Association of Sri
Venkateswara College, Delhi University.
The India-Sri Lanka Foundation, which is supporting the participation
of the Sri Lankan students at the event, had also supported their
participation in BLISSPOINT 2009 and 2010.
Recently 15 members of the Ravibandhu-Samanthi Dance Ensemble
participated at the four SAARC Folklore Festival, 4 eminent
personalities of the Sri Lankan film industry participated at the South
Asian Film Festival at Goa, 14 members of the Jaffna District under 19
Cricket team played a cricket match against Delhi Public School, R K
Puram and 10 students of St Patrick's College, Jaffna participated in a
Student Exchange Programme with St Francis School, New Delhi. Through
supporting such activities the India-Sri Lanka Foundation is playing a
catalytic role in promoting cultural and youth exchanges between India
and Sri Lanka.
