Sadhana Ranatunga in concert

Visharadha Sadhana Ranatunga has an inborn talent in music. Music
runs in her family. Music is in their blood. Her mother Daya Abeysekera
was a veteran film singer; her father, an actor and director Shantha
Abeysekera. She is the third generation of singers.

Ranatunga will take the stage on Saturday, October 15 at Ananda
College, Kularatne Hall, 6.30pm.
"I am releasing a CD on the same date. I am the visiting Music
teacher at the Royal College primary. This show will involve my
students. Along with my husband, my sons will also be singing. The CD
can be purchased at the concert," said Visharadha Ranatunga.
The songs that will be sung, are actually songs that run in the
family through generations. Ranatunga is also doing some of her own
songs. The themes which are primarily centered upon love which also
feature religious songs. Ranatunga will also be doing a 'Ranaviru' song
along with her sons.
