Chamber music - 'Quatuor Diotima French concert at the GFH'

The Galle Face hotel together with Embassy of France and Alliance
Francaise de Kotte held a Classical Chamber music concert at the Grand
Ballroom recently.
The Group Quatuor Diotima, which chose its name to pay homage to the
string quartet by Luigi Nono, 'Fragmente stille, an Diotima', performed
both contemporary works and late 20th Century classics from a
traditional string quartet repertoire.
The French Concert which performed at the Galle Face Hotel, Colombo
was composed by the Quartet n7 of Franz Shubert, the string quartet of
Claude Debussy and 'From my Life' written by the Czech composer Bedrich
Smetana.
Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo welcomes Mohombi
International superstar, Mohombi Moupondo was extended a warm,
traditional Sri Lankan welcome when he arrived at Cinnamon Lakeside
Colombo to stay during his visit to Sri Lanka. The Swedish-Congolese R&B
singer-songwriter and dancer visits Sri Lanka for his performance in 'Mohombi
ft Iyaz Live in Concert' presented by Sun fm together with Club Silk and
Inside Management.
The concert will take place tonight (September 30) at the CH&FC
grounds 7 pm onwards. |
