Limited Brands opts for Hemas

Limited Brands, US based holding company of globally renowned apparel brands such as Victoria's Secret, Pink, Bath and Bodyworks, La Senza and Henri Bandel, has opted for a Hemas Group joint venture for its cargo logistics out of Sri Lanka.

The Hemas Group joint venture is with Hellmann Logistics which is also a global operator and it with them that we procured the business, Hemas Group Transport Director Imtiaz Eusufally told Daily News Business last night.

"This was after a competitive bidding process which is done biennially and we got it this time, although there is no assurance in continuity indefinitely," he said. However, Hemas is one of the three cargo logistics for Limited Brands out of Sri Lanka and one of them also includes Pership as well and there were always three operators out of Sri Lanka.

International apparel sources point out that Limited Brands has 3,000 stores and 90,000 associates globally where most of the product lines are outsourced from China, India Israel and Sri Lanka.
