Girl's honesty praised
The honesty and integrity of a Grade Seven girl, Mohanapriya of
Odusuddan Maha Vidyalaya came in for great accolades in the school she
studied and in the village she lives in. The girl stumbled on a wallet
on her way to school. She opened it and found gold and money inside and
took it to the nearby People's Bank manager and gave the wallet to him.
The manager of the bank took the girl to her school and related what
had happened to the principal. The principal summoned an assembly and
Mohanapriya was hailed as the Paragon of honesty by the school
community.
Speaking at the assembly the principal said "Mohanapriya came from a
poor family. But the lure of gold did not corrupt her honest mind",
amidst applause.
