Gunarathne Wickramage is a renowned dramatist. His experience in
drama is visibly shown in these short stories. One special quality is
that the whole collection has only three stories.
Wickramage's writing style is different, because he does not care for
traditional grammar. The use of colloquial language richly portrays
sadness and disappointment of the human heart. The third story is woven
around a priest. Although he scolds out in almost vulgar language, the
reader cannot hate him because he seems helpless faced with inner
dialogues.
