Veteran peddlers off to Malaysia

Sri Lankan Veteran Peddlers will leave the country tonight to participate in the 'Sabah Veterans Table Tennis Championship' which will commence from September 22 in Sabah, Malaysia. The local contingent will consist of 16 men and women in five teams under age categories 40-49, 50-59 and 60-69.

The touring Peddlers have been selected after a selection tournament and there will be a good chance of clinching a major victory as the local players are in good form.

More than 15 countries are expected to take part in this year's tournament.
