Quatuor Diotima comes to Lanka

Musicians have bleeding hearts. They are passionate and on stage their anger and intensity come out. Quatuor Diotima is not a rock band and they specialize in the more soothing and classical music genres.

Quatuor Diotima has landed in Colombo and is set to take the city by storm when they perform a musical program at the Galle Face Hotel on September 25. Quatour Diotima, a well known household name in France, is making inroads into the international music scene. Founded by graduates of the Conservatoires of Paris and Lyon Quatuor Diotima has performed in festivals and staged concerts all over Europe. Though it's extensive touring, it has managed to gather an impressive following and to earn a solid reputation worldwide.

Quatuor Diotima's repertoire ranges from Franz Joesph Haydn to various composers of our time encompassing the Classical period, French Romanticism, the early twentieth century, and a selection of major works from the last 50 years.

The concert is in two parts, each part is 45 minutes.
