Minister's intervention stops union action

The Sri Lanka Agricultural Research and Product Assistance Officers Association has decided to abandon their trade union action due to action taken by Agrarian Service and Wildlife Minister S.M. Chandrasena. This was revealed at a press conference at the Agrarian Services and Wildlife Ministry on Thursday.

Sri Lanka Agricultural Research and Product Assistance Officers Association President H.M. Navaratna said that due to the minister's agreement to give their seven requests the Union decided to abandon the trade union action.

They had organized to hold the protest on September 29.
