Sri Lanka rugby team return with Bowl trophy

The Sri Lankan Rugby Sevens team that participated in the
Commonwealth Youth Games arrived at the Katunayaka airport in the wee
hours of September 14.
They returned to the country with the Bowl trophy won in the sevens
tournament by beating the mighty Trinidad & Tobago by 24 points (two
goals and two tries) to 20 (two goals and two tries) staged at the Bowl
Stadium, Douglas Isle of Man, UK from September 7 to 13.
According to Nilufer (coach) the try scorers were Dulaj Perera,
Dhanushka Ranjan (captain), Radhika Alwis and Woshan Randima one try
each and conversions by Dulaj Perera (two tries). |
