Science College defeated Thurstan College by 24 points to nil in their under 18 rugby Asian Finance Trophy Cup first semi-final clash at Havelock Park while Ananda College booked their place in the Cup final by beating Lalith Athulathmudali MV 27-05 in the second semi-final at the same venue yesterday. The tournament was sponsored by Asian Finance Limited and conducted by the Western Province Rugby Football Union.

Science College scored four tries and converted two.

Ananda score consisted of two tries by Ashanka Hemaratna, one try by Rajitha Liyanadewage, two conversions by Ashanka, and a penalty each by Ashanka and Lalith Piumal.

Ananda College will meet Science College in the Cup final while Lalith Athulathmudali MV will take on Thurstan College in the Plate final.

Cup, Plate, Bowl and Shield finals will take place on September 18 at CR and FC grounds, Longden Place.
