UPFA Gen Secy expresses opposition

United People’s Freedom Alliance Secretary General Minister Susil Premajayanth has expressed the Alliance’s opposition to the publication of the photographs of President Mahinda Rajapaksa and another leader of the UPFA by a person contesting the Galle Municipal Council election despite the fact that the particular candidate does not belong to any party contesting in alliance with the UPFA.

Minister Premajayanth who expressed his opposition to this type of undue propaganda by Opposition candidates has urged the Opposition parties not to repeat this type of propaganda work in the elections.

The minister has clearly explained that the candidates contesting under the UPFA with the betel leaf as their symbol will get the support of UPFA political parties.
