Atlas launched


Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena hands over the National Atlas of Sri Lanka to Education Minister Bandula Gunawardena while Lands and Lands Development Deputy Minister Siripala Gamlath looks on.

The first atlas of Sri Lanka prepared after surveying lands in Sri Lanka was launched at Polonnaruwa Royal College with the participation of Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena, Education Minister Bandula Gunawardena, Lands and Lands Development Deputy Minister Siripala Gamlath and many others recently.

The book published after surveying all lands in the country by the Lands and Lands Development Ministry and Sri Lanka Survey Department.

The book is worth Rs. 6,000. Around 25 books were distributed among schools in Polonnaruwa free of charge.

The book which contains the latest and updated information on lands in the country is to be given to all State schools in the country by the ministry.
