Minister calls for quality in education field

Education Minister Bandula Gunawardena has called for renewal of resources in the field of education and improvement in the quality in the educational field in order to make Sri Lanka the Wonder of Asia through the promotion of people's knowledge.

The minister was speaking at a seminar organized to target the GCE (Advanced Level) children for whose benefit a number of CD's had been issued to Provincial Educational Directors.

The series of seminars will be held at the Department of Examinations from October 01 in all three languages.

The Minister further said that the series of seminars organized for GCE A/L children last year had been highly successful, and those seminars enabled them to achieve better results in their examinations.

He said this year too, Education authorities would distribute model question papers among students.
