Completing one year to Shvetha Rathriya, Nanda Malani and Sunil
Ariyaratne together with Sirasa FM will stage the concert at the Sirasa
auditorium, Borupana, Rathmalana, on September 4 at 7 pm.

Suba Saha Yasa at Lionel Wendt
The new production of one of the most popular stage dramas Suba Saha
Yasa directed by Saiman Navagaththegama is scheduled to be staged at
Lionel Wendt Theatre on September 2, 3.30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Sriyantha Mendis, Nihal Fernando, Kusum Renu, Srinath Maddumage,
Samadara Ariyawansa, Wasantha Wittachchi, Kumara Thirimadura, Amaradasa
Thalgahagoda, Deepika Abeygunaratne, Ratne D. Nambuge, Premakumara
Dassanayake, Susil Perera, Neil Ravindra, Ravindra Ariyarathna and Asoka
Zoysa are the main actors. Make-up is by Wasantha Wittachchi and Stanley
Omar is providing the music. Stage Management is by Kumara Thirimadura
and stage setting is by Lional Bentarage. Costumes by Dhanapala and
Kamalkanthi Bogodage.
Upali Weerasinghe is providing the lights. Production Management and
Organisation is by Jude Srimal.

Balloth Ekka Be
Two special shows of the hilarious comedy Balloth Ekka Be, written
and directed by Ravindra Ariyarathna will be staged on September 4 at
the Colombo 7, Lionel Wendt Theatre at 3.30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Starring are
the renowned Wijaya Nandasiri, Roshan Pilapitiya, Gihan Fernando, Kumara
Thirimadura, Saman Hemarathna (Leelasena) and Anusha Dissanayake. With
music of Shantha Peiris, stage set designed by Luvolin Vandervol and
stage management of Asoka De Zoysa and Shantha Udaya Kumara, the drama
will be an experience too costly to miss, while costume design by Gihan
Fernando and Demal Fernando, lighting of Upali Weerasinghe and make-up
art of Saman Hemarathna will create an unforgettable visual experience.
On behalf of Easl J. Lanka Computer School, Sugath Jayasinghe
presents the drama Balloth Ekka Be and the formidable Jude Srimal is the
chief organiser.
Boondi celebrates three years
The launch of Malathi Kalpana Ambrose’s Me Nihanda Veralata Enna and
Hiniduma Sunil Senevi’s Noothanama Sinhala Kaviya Pilimbanda Nireekshana
Kihipayak will be launched at the National Library Services Board on
September 3 at 3 pm to mark the third anniversary of poetry club Boondi.
Book on puppetry
Siri Gunasinghe's book Rookada Roopana Kala Sambhavya will be
launched at the Mahaweli Centre on September 2 at 3.30 pm.
Prof Tissa Kariyawasam, Prof Patrick Anthony and former puppet
subcommittee president Rohana Deva will make speeches. A short puppet
presentation as well as an exhibition of the latest puppetry trends will
be showcased at the event.
