Death of prominent scholar Prof Mendis Rohanadeera

Prominent scholar of Buddhism, Culture and Archaeology Prof Mendis Rohanadeera passed away at the National Hospital, Colombo yesterday. He was 80.

Prof Mendis Rohanadeeera was admitted to hospital with a sudden illness on Thursday night.

The remains of Prof Rohanadeera are lying at his residence at Battaramulla. The funeral will take place on Wednesday.
