Restaurant owner, waiter nabbed for robbing tourist's belongings

Panadura Magistrate R S A Dissanayake remanded a restaurant owner and a waiter in Wadduwa who allegedly robbed a camera and other items belonging to an Indian tourist who had come to the restaurant for meals.

On a complaint made by the Indian tourist, Wadduwa Police conducted investigations and recovered the stolen items hidden in the restaurant garbage collecting centre.

The owner and the waiter were arrested and produced before court with a B Report.

The report was sent to the Deputy Inspector General of Police.
