Topstars @ Thomian Fair
STC OBA celebrating 125 years Thomian Fair 2011 will be held at the
S. Thomas’ College, Mt. Lavinia from September 1 to 3 at the College
grounds from 5.30 pm to 1.30 am. The grand musical show will be held on
all three days at the college, open air where the best of Sri Lankan pop
stars attend. On August 1 old Thomian Sohan Weerasingha will perform
with his band X periments and the guest stars will be Kandy Lamissi fame
Mariazelle Gunathilaka and Paul Fernando.
On August 2 Rajitha with Misty will perform and the guest stars will
be Annesley Malwana and Ronnie Lietch and on the last day old Thomian
Jayantha de Silva with Pearl will be performing with the guest stars
Corrine Almeida and Bhatiya and Santhush. Compere on all three days will
be Mithudam De Silva.
Organising committee of the musical show is headed by old Thomian Dr
Vijaya Corea.
Thomian fairs, over the years, have acquired a reputation for being
well organised and patronised events providing high class entertainment
to all age groups.
It is commendable that a number of top end corporate companies and
businesses in Colombo have joined hands with the OBA of STC to ensure a
memorable fun fair made available for all patrons.
The fun fair will include a wide variety of fun events such as the
Galaxy, Roller Coaster and other rides. To ensure that everyone has a
great time, the organisers will set up two Merry-Go-Rounds a Giant Wheel
and other fund rides that will provide non stop entertainment for
everyone present. The College Stamp Club together with the Postal
Department will have a Stamp Exhibition at the Fair.
A wide array of Corporate and government stalls will be displaying
their products at the fair grounds. The STF, Army, Navy and the Air
Force will also display the latest equipment for all the Fair goers to
have a first-hand experience of the capacity and of some strategic
assets reinforcing the strength.
