Sri Lanka Women's basketball team to tour Germany

The Sri Lanka Women's basketball team will undertake a tour of Germany in May, 2012. The women's cager team comprising 12 players will play against clubs and district teams during their three week tour.

They will play ten matches in Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Cologne, Leipzig and Hamburg which would give them the much needed foreign exposure.

The tour is arranged by the Sri Lanka Basketball Federation in collaboration with the Asian German Sports Exchange Programme who will provide food, accommodation and travelling for the players and officials.

Anna Tschoell, a graduate in sports and event management of the Free University of Boltano, Italy and Dorothee Acker, a graduate in sports science from the University of Mainz, Germany are the main co-ordinators of the tour.
