Vidulka 2011 exhibition

Vidulka 2011 the national annual exhibition, symposium and awards
ceremony organized by the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority (SLSEA)
is to be inaugurated on August 11 under the patronage of Prime Minister
D.M. Jayaratne.
This event will be held at the BMICH from August 11 to 14. The first
day, August 12 is dedicated to schoolchildren.
The objective of this event is to enhance the energy efficiency in
all sectors and promote renewable energy technologies.
Vidulka was conducted in 2010 as an ideal platform to popularize
energy technology products and services. It is an ideal opportunity for
both innovators and inventors alike to showcase their unique ideas in
improving energy efficiency and management.
According to SLSEA Chairman Dr. Kithsiri Dissanayake, around 150
exhibitors both local and foreign, industrialists who are covering
energy sector, manufacturers, suppliers and innovators are expected at
the exhibition.
Technocrats could showcase their high efficient technologies and
equipment.
This exhibition will offer a good opportunity to the public to come
to know the latest technologies in the world, he added.
The registration of the School Energy Conservation Clubs and the
awards ceremony to the winners of art competition on the theme "How to
survive in oilless world" are to be held on August 12 at the exhibition
premises.
The Vidulka symposium is also to be held on August 12 and it will be
held on the theme "Energy conscious nation".
It will be a platform for energy sector researchers to present their
research papers as well.
Power and Energy Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka, Deputy Minister
Premalal Jayasekara and the Power and Energy Ministry's Secretary M.M.C.
Fernando will also participat in the Vidulka 2011 inauguration ceremony.
