New Board at Asian Finance

Asian Finance subsequent to the recent change of ownership has appointed a new Board of Directors to take the company to greater heights. The new Board comprises three (3) Malaysians and three (3) local high profile entrepreneurs and professionals. Following is a brief sketch of the new appointees.

King Sing (Chairman)

A member of Parliament, a leading business professional and a social worker in Malaysia, he possesses a Master of Business Administration and Management degree, and a Master of Business Administration in Political Science degree from Royal Ireland Institute of Business and Technology, Ireland.

Abdul Azim Bin Mohd Zabidy (Deputy Chairman).

A veteran banker and a high profile business professional in Malaysia. He has been the Chairman of Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) which is also known as the Malaysian National Savings Bank for 10 years.

Senator Pau Ung (Director).

A leading entrepreneur in Malaysia. He has held several high profile positions in the corporate industry. He is the Managing Director of Okutai Timber Products Sdn Bhd, Seawise Shipping Sdn Bhd and also in Poly Trading Company in Malaysia and holding directorships in many other leading business organizations in Malaysia.

Col W M Wijayadasa Wanasinghe (Director)

An ex-civil servant. He has been a Director of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. He has been the Chairman of Regional Development Bank, Anuradhapura.

Y J Sunimal Perera (Director)

An Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, a Fellow Member of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka and Member of Institute of Certified Professional Managers and a Registered Company Secretary.

J Nandani Dissanayake (Director)

Attorney-at-Law, Associate of Institute of Bankers and Diploma in Bank Management in Institute of Bankers.

She has been serving as the Secretary to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, Director of Management Audit and counting over 20 years service in the Senior Level in Central Bank of Sri Lanka and S Dalugoda who was instrumental in turning round the company, to take the company forward.

Dalugoda is a Senior Chartered Accountant counting over 20 years experience in the fields of finance, services and manufacturing industries.
