CIMA launches brand in Galle

"The world economic pattern is rapidly changing and Asia will be the world economic centre in 10 years. If Sri Lanka is to capitalize on it, the country has to produce multifaceted young professionals to meet the demand in the regional job market, CIMA South Asia and Middle East Regional Director Bradly Emerson said.

He was the chief guest at the brand launch of CIMA in Galle held at the Light House Hotel recently.

Emerson emphasized the importance of CIMA as a multidisciplinary academic and professional qualification which spanned over HR, Marketing, Finance, IT and Management sectors. "CIMA in Sri Lanka will focus to transform national abilities to global capabilities," he explained.

Apex Business Academy Pvt. Ltd, a leading educational services provider in the South has stepped forward to bring Colombo centralized CIMA education to Matara and Galle districts in collaboration with CIMA Sri Lanka. They have opened their new branch in Galle on the Matara road parallel to the CIMA brand launch.

CIMA South Asia and Middle East Business Development Manager Radley Stephen said after three years companionship with the Apex Business Academy in Matara, they saw the potential to grow in the region and decided to expand to Galle.

There are a lot of talented students outstation who are capable of winning international CIMA awards and we are giving them access to do so by spreading CIMA education to the far regions of the country," Stephen said.

Apex Business Academy Managing Director Deshani Gamage said that they have experienced a growing demand for CIMA education in Matara for the last three years and students of Galle and Hambantota Districts too will now have the opportunity to follow CIMA without go to Colombo. "Students will be able to save money and time while studying in their own home towns. Even in the local job market, CIMA has been a top level qualification which will play a key role in career building whether in banking, engineering, marketing or any other profession. "We can assure the quality and standard of our institution's service as we have recruited some best tutors in the trade from Colombo to lecture in Galle and Matara.

Each student will be given individual attention as the batches will include less number of students compared to Colombo," Gamage added.

"Our Matara and Galle branches will be equipped with library and internet facilities where we will give special attention to develop language skills of our students which we have identified as a scarcity among the school leavers in the region. As an affiliated body to CIMA Sri Lanka we have provided with best facilities at our Matara and Galle branches on par with Colombo institutions," the Apex M.D. said.
