Libyan fighters probe general's murder
Libya: Libyan revolutionary forces say they are probing the
death of their military Chief General Abdel Fattah Younes and two of his
aides.An official from the National Transitional Council says the
committee has appointed an investigative group that will soon publish
the facts of the probe. General Younes was killed on Thursday,
reportedly by members of a militia allied with the revolutionaries. The
motive behind the killing is still unclear.He was Muammar Gaddafi's
interior minister and commander of Libya's Special Forces before
defecting to the opposition earlier this year.The general joined the
opposition forces at the beginning of the Libyan uprising in
February.Tens of thousands of people in Benghazi gathered on Friday to
mourn his death.
