Earl exposes Sajith’s ploy

Plantation Deputy Minister Earl Gunasekera said that Sajith Premadasa was making, attempts to get the UNP leadership by tactics under the pretext that Karu Jayasuriya would be made the leader as he knew that Karu was a cowardly figure though he wishes to win the UNP leadership.

He said that Sajith knew very well that it is easier for him to remove Karu from the leadership than removing Ranil Wickremasinghe.

Therefore Sajith is planning to cheat Karu by promising the UNP leadership.

However the Deputy Minister said that although Karu Jayasuriya comes forward in the absence of Ranil Wickremasinghe he would surly run away in the presence of Ranil Wickremasinghe, leaving even Sajith Premadasa.

The Deputy Minister added that Karu Jayasuriya was not a trustworthy figure to hold the leadership of the UNP.
