Navy arrests three smugglers

Combined Naval cordon and search teams from the Northern and North-central Naval Commands arrested three persons hiding in Katchchathivu on July 27.

Three mobile phones with Sri Lankan and Indian SIMs, a haul of Sri Lankan, Indian and Maldivian currencies were also taken into naval custody from their possession. The arrested were suspected to be involved in smuggling across India and Sri Lanka. They were handed over to Thalaimannar Police for further investigations.
