Bank robbery:

Six suspects planning to flee country nabbed

Mannar Police with the help of the Navy Intelligence Unit arrested six suspects including the two main suspects involved in the recent Pudur bank robbery where jewellery and cash were robbed.

According to the police, the suspects arrested at a lodge in Mannar, were planning to flee to another country. Police also seized a jeep belonging to the suspects. The suspects were handed over to the Colombo Crime Investigation Division for further investigation.

The bank was robbed on June 30 by a group of armed men.
