will strive to repeat her success which she achieved after a long lapse.
But her main opponent will be in form Suwaneetha Selvaratanam who won
the Ladies Nett title and had an excellent score in the Gross title. She
is lowest handicapper among the ladies with her handicap being 8. The
others who are expected to shine at this competition are Fran de Mel,
Jyoti Haynes, Pauline Morley, Indira Tibblins, Sonia Boyle and others.
Back to form Sirath Kasthuriratne won the Mens Nett competition last
month playing to a handicap and a repeat performance by him could be
expected, as he had been seen practising hard at Victoria.
Englishman Ian Tait who won the Mens gross competition could provide
the stiffest competition to the other golfers using his excellent skills
and experience. He is among the best golfers to play regularly at
Victoria. But he will receive some fierce opposition from Australian
Errol Johnston, Scott Wanigasekera, Sidath Wettimuni, Suren Wass, Tony
Witham and others.
