Oasis goes for Rs 200 m upgrade

Oasis Hospitals (Pvt) Ltd will invest Rs 200 million to upgrade the hospital’s internal capacity.

Oasis Hospitals Chief Executive Medical Officer Dr.Prasad Medawatta told Daily news business that they have already invested Rs 150 million for the ongoing upgrading process in specialized medical areas particularly in oncology and eye units in the hospital.

They will be commencing operations in the kidney transplant unit shortly.

“The end of conflict has opened new vistas for medical tourism in the country and we have already started medical tourism with the Maldives and set up a clinic in the Maldives since our consultants are going there to diagnose patients.

Required surgeries for foreign patients will be in Sri Lanka. We see a massive demand from Maldivians for renal surgeries and look at expanding our services to cater to this demand,” Medawatta said.
