Osanda excels in Kyokushin Karate
Osanda Bandara Wijekoon, a student of Shihan T. Nanda Siriwardena's
dojo, obtained his first Dan Black Belt in Kyokushin Karate.

Osanda has successfully completed the Black Belt grading test held by
Shihan Siriwardena, (5th Dan Black Belt) Branch Chief and Director of
Kyokushin Kai Kan Sri Lanka.
Osanda is a Grade 9 student of Royal College, Colombo who has been a
cub scout and excelled in baseball.
He is also an active member of Drama Society and Art Circle in
school. He is a talented artist who had studied under the veteran
teacher Lionel Ranaweera to obtain a Silver Medal and a Bronze Medal by
participating in art exhibitions held in Japan and Bangladesh
respectively.
Osanda has great respect and regard towards Shihan Siriwardena, who
is the only Sri Lankan student of Sosai Masutatsu (Mas) Oyama, founder
of Kyokushin Karate.
Kyokushin is being practiced by millions of people all around the
world and is considered as one of the toughest fighting methods, a
philosophy and a way of life. |
