X-Fighters Jams 2011 in Colombo
The four Free Style Motor Cross riders who performed in Sri Lanka
last year, will be here once again to give their best to the Lankan fans
when the Red Bull X-Fighters Jams 2011 will take place at the Galle Face
Green on July 30.
This event is sponsored for the second year by Red Bull. The foursome
is due to arrive in the island on July 25 and the organizers expect the
number of spectators to go past the 200,000 at the Galle Face Green.
This year, the organizers will charge a fee with a view to minimize
the congestion that occurred last year where they faced many tough
situations in crowd control.
The event will be a part of the World’s number one freestyle motor
cross series which will also perform in many parts of the world. The
four daredevil riders, South African Nick De Wit, two Belgians Jimmy
Verburgh and Gilles Dejong along with Daniel Bodin of Sweden will be
doing their acts once again for the motor racing fans in Sri Lanka.
According to organizers the foursome are happy to be back here and
have confirmed their willingness to perform at their best on this day.
De Wit had said that Sri Lanka is a fine place to visit and is happy
to be back in the island to thrill its fans. The team of X-Fighters who
will arrive five days ahead of the schedule will conduct a workshop for
the Armed Forces and Police to enhance their skills on the two wheelers.
The workshop is to be held in Colombo according to the local
organizers. |
