Ruhuna and Kelaniya Universities - VB champions

The University of Ruhuna and the University of Kelaniya won the men's and women's championships at the inter university Volleyball Tournament hosted by the Department of Physical Education of the University of Ruhuna last Sunday at Matara.

Deputy Vice Chancellor of the Ruhuna university professor Gamini Senanayaka gave away the awards.

The Universities of Sabaragamuwa and Rajarata emerged runners up while the University of Colombo was placed third in both categories.

This is the second successive year that the Universities of Ruhuna and Kelaniya have won the men's and women's titles.
